Medieval Maidens

These books are too cool.  How I found out about them is pretty cool, too. I take the girls to History Hour at the local Historical Society.  It’s a preschool program with a story, craft, yada, yada, yada…  Anyhoo, a few weeks ago, I was talking with one of the volunteers and I happened to find out that she was an author of children’s books- all about Medieval Princesses! The Medieval Maidens stories are historical fiction stories for girls ages 7ish to 12ish.  Lois Jarman is the author, and she has written eight 40-60 page books, complete with a glossary and historical notes section in the back of each one.  The princess characters are actual real princesses who lived during the Middle Ages.
